at a certain point in its path, the inlus river cascades down a steep, rocky ledge into a deep plunge pool below. the pool is deep enough for horses to swim, though jumping from the ledge above might not be so wise.

the mouth of the inlus river spills out onto peregrine beach. a beach on the southmost coast of the mainland, known to be overpopulated by a cast of peregrine that can usually be spotted in the air. this is where horses will come to attempt to swim to the islands.
