Argo still needs a Dragonfly! This is a military general type position, ideally male, 8-15 years old, department of homeland security :'D If anything happened to Argo, this character would take over ruling Laipawa as a sort of regent until Cepheus comes of age, and would ideally become Cepheus's Dragonfly after passing the torch. Of course, always room for a betrayal for the plot :'D The "Dragonfly" is the title given to the Laipawan head of security and defense. Traditionally male, the Dragonfly (or the "Dragon") is a master of combat and military strategy, It is the Dragonfly's duty to protect the Laipawa Island and the island realm in general from security threats. I would love for this character to be like, Argo's childhood bestie or something like that, you know? Could either be Argo's nephew (see below) or a friend who's not blood-related! ISLAND HERD ROSTER


In the same vein, I thought I'd post again about Irulan's older siblings / Argo's nieces and nephews -- there are three of them, and if anyone would like to adopt one I would love to be able to fully flesh out this family tree! Their parents are Astor and Ibika, who raised Argo as their own (though he's Ibika's full brother, just much younger). I would love it if they were still on the islands (Laipawa or Kekoa), but I'm open to one or two of them having fucked off to the mainland or something, haha! I've included Astor and Ibika's stats for you below to help with character design, and I am 1000% willing and ready to either help design them or at least make nice art for them! Would love Dune-ish names (Siona? Ixian? idk) for them but not necessary!

Real bad bitch energy. Loving mother, but tough as nails and fairly xenophobic when it comes to mainlanders in her space -- Astor is the only exception, because in her eyes he is islander. Views her purpose in life as protecting her islands from unwanted outside attention, typically by use of force; could be thought of as a military leader. FAFO kind of woman. History: An island native: sire named Koki'on, dam named Ilia. Met her mate, Astor, when she was very young (3 or 4 years old). She has never and will never bear foals for another stallion, though she has encouraged her mate to plant seeds in other soil to "grow a legacy" of ecological warriors. Read Argemmon's history for more detail! * = could also carry pearl if you truly desire ** = as a warrior type person and being nearly 16 years old she should certainly have scars or old injuries, etc!

1. Oldest. Only a season or so older than her uncle, King Argemmon, Argo regards her as his sister rather than his niece. They were raised together, and were very close in childhood. Whether they are still close in the present day could be a plot point. Given that she's Ibika and Astor's oldest child, if she's still on the islands she would be a character of great importance and influence.

Dragonfly position filled LAWDY HALLELUYER

Hey everybody! Just a lil update --

I was thinking it might be a nice prompt for the islands to send an emissary mission to the mountains on the mainland. Irulan (Queen of Kekoa, niece of the Laipawan King Argemmon) is first cousins with Giselle (Queen of the Moraine Mountains) through their fathers, who are brothers. Irulan has only recently become Queen, so I think it might make sense that emissaries from both island kingdoms would go bring news of this to their distant allies. OOC, it gives us a chance to forge that old blood allegiance anew, and could involve several people/characters across several threads for at least the next season or two as like a background motivation for why the characters are where they are with the people they're with, etc etc.

Kind of loosely speaking, this could go like -- a few traveling threads for the emissaries as they make their way north, at least one thread in the mountains with that herd and/or its royalty, and then some travel back down south as the emissaries head back to the islands. And then whatever happens along the way! Off the top of my head, if Asami's not going herself, she'd need to be involved in the sending-off process probably?

In any case, I've tagged the folks who are most directly involved with these territories but if you'd like to jump in, in ANY CAPACITY, please don't hesitate! (For example, I'm happy to throw Ghazal into the mix to cause a bit of mayhem, and then at the end of this little travel arc maybe word of him reaches the islands, too.)
