laipawa is the first island that foreigners and travelers set their eyes upon. from the moment you set hoof upon the shores of aolani cay, you must be sure to abide by the the laws of the land per say. do not be fooled, though a king sits upon a throne here, it is the ISLAND who rules.

our king, CEPHEUS — of argemmon x nokomis. crowned spring, year 3.

a prophetic birth, cepheus and his twin sister nereida came to life in the aftermath of a terrible hurricane that ravaged laipawa. in the months that followed, his father, then king, and sister would disappear, alongside most of the laipawans. after an extended absence, cepheus returned to laipawa to claim his throne - to the satisfaction of old and new gods alike.

note: until he becomes of age, the king may not take a queen.

THE RING OF FIRE — formerly the circle of jade. these equines are among the king's most trusted. the ring of fire oversees and advises the king in his decision making.

the dragonfly, OPEN — the head of security, and the king's right hand. the dragonfly is typically a strong, tough type, whose roles range from protecting the herd from outside threats, to standing in the king's place in the event of his absence. should the king pass with no heir, the dragonfly is next to ascend to the throne.

the spider, ASAMI— of aoki'ti. a blood relative of the king. very much the liason of the island, the spider is responsible for overseeing much of the day-to-day activity upon laipawa, reporting to the king when necessary. she is also in charge of island recruitment, and is expected to make frequent trips between laipawa and the main land. asami remains one of the few remaining links to this blood line, serving as guide to the king's past.

the oracle, NOKOMIS — of luna. the oracle is the third eye of the island, a spiritual advisor and link between the seen and unseen. mother to cepheus, nokomis maintains a strong connection to the king despite her maintained distance from laipawa. while she has stationed herself on the neighboring kekoa archipelago, nokomis will frequent between the two islands as she sees fit.
