the prairies, surprisingly, are not entirely flat. there are many gentle inclines and declines sprawled across the land. these inclines are nothing like those found in the great north, fortunately, and are fairly easy on any horse passing through.

the lonely expanse
much of the prairies are vast and plentiful, but one particular chunk serves as a reminder for its residents that overgrazing can have a drastic impact on the land. once a lush stretch of land, this area offers nothing but dead grass and bare trees. the southmost point of the midlands, this area serves as a bridge into the southern territories.

the most plentiful grasslands of our homeland, the tallgrass waresoll prairies are heavily desired in the spring and summer months. there are a great number of beasts that travel through here daily, and the prairie herd often has to chase others out, for fear of losing precious grazing space. despite this, the prairies are generally very peaceful.
