this gorgeous expanse is certainly enticing, but it is generally agreed upon between each herd throughout our homeland to be designated free lands. no one group could claim ownership anyway; with plenty of foliage for grazing, rock formations for climbing, and a perfect view for surrounding territories, it is well accepted as a truly neutral gathering ground.

these woods are arguably less dense than those found in the smokey forest. due to its tendency to be overgrown with wildflowers in the summer and a steady water source from interwoven streams, oxwater wood is a popular gathering place for unclaimed mares and bachelor stallions.

the massive river, whose streams and water sources span all across our homeland, is most prominent throughout the free lands themselves. depending what season it is, the river can be quiet or cascading, and in some instances completely frozen.

the northmost point of our homeland, the moraine mountains are not for the faint of heart, nor the fleet of foot. with steady inclines making it nearly impossible to navigate (at least for those unfamiliar with the territory), the mountains can be quite difficult to penetrate. it is for this reason that many horses who survive the journey call this place home.

a ringlet that surrounds the moraine mountains, the smokey forest sits quietly at the base. named for the smoke that once drifted down from the now inactive volcano, the smokey forest is best known for its lush trees, overgrown foliage, and the herd that resides there.

a dense area of forest, coupled with standing pools once believed to have formed during a five-year rain storm make up browlick quag. this freshwater swamp is known to be heavily saturated in the summer, and the mud is more than plentiful in a place like this.

the most plentiful grasslands of our homeland, the tallgrass waresoll prairies are heavily desired in the spring and summer months. there are a great number of beasts that travel through here daily, and the prairie herd often has to chase others out, for fear of losing precious grazing space. despite this, the prairies are generally very peaceful.

defined by the rock formations that stretch well overhead and the deep valleys that extend to the horizon line, redgrave canyon is not for the faint of heart or tender of foot. while beautiful, this land can be dangerous for those who have a tough time tolerating the crumbling of earth beneath their feet, or heights.

despite being considered a desert, this land is far from dead and barren. quite lush with flora and fauna that thrive in hot weather conditions, the santheo desert may not be for the faint of heart, but it sure is the place for a hotblooded horse to call home.

though it may appear small from off the coast of the mainland, laipawa island is actually a massive tropic expanse. known to be warm even in the winter months, it is a fantastic paradise filled with lush greens and all walks of wildlife.
